There are many islands you can go: we picked Peaks island because it was the closest and had the most frequent scheduling. We still wanted to spend part of the day in Portland. They have a boat going to Peaks island every hour. We rented a bike when we got to Peaks island; expensive and bikes were in bad qualities.... More

We visited Peaks Island. Very interesting place to visit. We wanted to rent a golf cart but didn't get to. They were all taken and there was a 2 hour wait for next available one. Didn't know that you should probably get off the ferry and go straight to the golf carts to reserve your spot. Instead we walked over... More

We took the Mailboat to the islands in Casco Bay and had a beautiful day to enjoy how gorgeous the Casco Bay Islands truly are.....a hidden gem!. This is truly a boaters' paradise with lighthouses, sailboats, yachts and working boats all sharing the bay. It was an unusual experience to see the freight loaded and unloaded front the boat. Freight... More

Lovely, relaxing afternoon cruise around Casco Bay. Stopped at three islands to let off and pick up passengers. Very enjoyable.

We did the 1 3/4 hr ride around the harbor to see the islands. It was reasonably priced, on time, informative and comfortable.

The ferry was on time and the ride was smooth and interesting. They gave a fun historical tour of local landmarks. It could have been cleaner on the ferry but, overall, a pleasant experience.

These islands are gorgeous! I love Long Island in particular. It has a slightly longer ferry ride (30-45 min), but you get lovely views of the other islands and the ocean on the way. Also, the island is very quiet and charming--perfect for relaxation! There are a couple of great beaches to check out. It's a great place to go... More

What a phenomenal way to see Peaks Island and an alternative look at Portland. The ferry cost my family of 4 only $15 (kids were free) and we got to enjoy the ferry ride to the island, a leisurely walk on Peaks Island, and a great ride back. My w-year old daughter LOVED being on a larger boat, and the... More
