We’ve always enjoyed this museum. The shows are interesting and the space, designed by I M Pei, is a delightful place to view art. There’s a children’s museum right next door, so make a day of it with your family!

The museum spans 17th to 21st century works of art. Eclectic but well representative works of art displayed in an architectural marvel of a building. No crowds and nice cafe below to indulge in a delicious tea or coffee.

This museum is a gem. The art on display ranges from modern and interesting work to Impressionists and old masters. We were very impressed by the range and the depth of the display and would wholeheartedly recommend a visit.

One of the great treasures of Portland’s art and food scene. The Winslow Homer cottage at Prout’s Neck is so inspirational.

We were impressed by the breadth of the collection. Terrific museum for a small city. We also took the tour to the Winslow Homer house, which was well worth the time and $.
