We can't say enough about the beauty that this location affords visitors. Wildlife is abundant and the setting is peaceful (unless you have neighbors who stay up partying themselves sick until 3am...) While we have had more spacious and private campsites at other campgrounds these...More

My husband stumbled across Hermit Island Campground online a few years ago, and we booked a Summer trip. We will be returning year after year! It's a quiet, secluded location with fantastic views and a great variety of camp site sizes and locations. The on-site...More

Having camped here 30 years ago, it was fun to go back and check it out. It was like going back in time. It's family camping w/o the technology. Just the sounds, views, tastes and smells of old fashioned camping beside an amazing beach/ocean. Unparalleled...More

Scenic, extremely private with camp sites set aside by natural topography. Ocean beaches on property, camp sites on the water. Near famous Popham Beach. Close by to beautiful mid coast Maine.

Stayed for three nights with three children in the third week of August. Used to visit Hermit Island Campground when I was a kid and have fond memories. My recent stay was not a disappointment. The campground does not allow hard top campers so we...More

Wecame here to go swimming. Nice beach and only $8 for a vehicle. Fair price for a family to swim. They could however comb their beach for seaweed. Though it was still a nice place to swim.
