Beautiful sand beach, great for families. Go early. We went on a Monday and parking was full by noon.

I love the sand and tidal pool where kids can swim. Water is a bit (a lot cold). Lots of area to sunbathe, play games, or just walk along the shore.

One of the BEST Maine beaches for walking, swimming, beachcombing and more. You can park in the Maine State Park lot or travel further down the road where there's free parking.

Be ready to pay &8 per adult. Pack all your food chairs and towels and set out for an adventure. Beach is quiet and vast. Watch tides. You can walk out to islands. Pretty driftwood and shells. Vikings documented in area. Clean bathrooms and showers

We are traveling Route 1 from Fort Kent to Key West. This attraction is somewhat off Route 1 but well worth your time. The sandbar area is Huge - many times the size of the one in Bar Harbor. The island is much flatter and...More

My experience is if you are not in the lot by 11:00 AM ,you will have to park on the shoulder of the road and that's a long haul to the beach !The lot is not so big .So get there early and it is still a long walk to the... More
