Lots of seafood and carnival type foods. We ate at a place called Mike's Fried Dough and Ice Cream. It was ok. I got a sausage and pepper sandwich. I found the onions and peppers very undercooked. My husband had the "Double Hot Dog" and...More

The Pier itself looks great from outside on the beach. It makes a great photo op and lends to the overall atmosphere of the area. Some of the history is quite interesting if you can find a local that goes back far enough. On the...More

Always a great place to visit when in OOB...It isn't the same as it was when I was a kid. It's mainly bars and small shops now. However I still enjoy seeing it every time I travel to Maine.

Was on the pier yet again last weekend and as always dirty and in need of upgrading. But i guess that's what makes its charm.

We really enjoyed old orchard beach. It felt like a marriage between Atlantic city and misquamicut beach. The beach however is really nice. Water was ice cold, as expected. The waves were larger than I expects but it was a nice location for a family...More

The narrow Pier was packed with restaurants and shops. At the end of the pier was the "Pier" restaurant - the main business on the pier; it had live music and the menu seemed to be decent. There was not a whole lot to see...More

Hooligans at the beginning of the pier is a nice place period and the store immediately behind Hooligans is a nice store. The rest of the pier looks like it's falling apart and everything needs a new paint job. When you have a place near...More

Really needs to have a remodel and some fancier fronts if this is going to be the elite shopping experience on old orchard.

It ain't what it used to be. It is sad to see the pier looking so worn and tired. From the moment you step up the ramp, you move from the tacky to the ramshackle in short order. You'd expect that at the end, you...More

I don't know. Does it have your photo and DOB? If it's been an issue elsewhere I would not "push my luck". Better yet... call them on your cell phone.

When does everything start to close for the season? My family and I would be looking to come up on vacation around the end of August and the begining of September.

End of August is a wonderful time to visit. After Labor Day, the amusement park has limited hours. Most eateries are open until after Columbus Day.
Where can you park and how much is it to park?

There are many places to park on the street that turn over quickly and there are many parking lots priced only $5 or $10 for the day close to the beach. I lived in OOB for 13 years and I never paid to park.
