About
This charming fishing village is one of the most picturesque spots in southern Maine. It’s renowned for its fresh seafood, such as lobsters, oysters, clams, and crabs, which you can catch on a private or group fishing tour. After a sumptuous seafood meal, tackle the Marginal Way, a cliff walk famous for its excellent harbor views and scenic lookouts. This coastal enclave is busiest in the summer when vacationers descend on its turquoise beaches. It’s also a haven for art lovers—check out the galleries and local boutiques selling quirky knick-knacks and handicrafts. – Tripadvisor

Very Crowed during the summer. This once was a real fishing village.
Fortunately, or unFortunately we stopped here during a cold rainy day in April. It was nice walking around and checking things out, and especially the pedestrian drawbridge. There was a nice shop near the bridge selling lobsters so we bought a couple to eat back at our rental. Nice place to visit if you can.

Get there early if you want a parking spot.
Parking is very limited at Perkins Cove, so if you don't get there early during tourist season or you're not a walker, you're out of luck. Some of the restaurants and gift shops are very good, like Perkins Cove Candies and Jack's Too Restaurant, and the views are great. I've been going here for decades, and one of my favorite parts of Perkins Cove is the iconic draw bridge.

    Cute Little Spot
This is a great little spot to snag some food or shop. There’s parking right at the cove but it’s hard to come by. Check there first but then you might need to park at a bigger lot back on the main road. Still, it’s not a long walk. We ate at Oarweed, which was pretty good (and had a great view), did some shopping, and then watched the drawbridge accommodate a large sailboat. The kids got a kick out of it!

    Great location, quiet park.
Very nice park with friendly stuff. It is all gravel and no paved road but no mud when raining. Location is great, 5 min to beach with free parking. The pool is in closed with screen and some roof. Nice small ponds in the middle.

    Cute & Picturesque
Enjoyable area in Ogunquit, with lots of shopping, specialty cruise, and restaurant opportunities. Somewhat touristy, however something for everyone. Pricey parking and food. It's fun to see, but definitely not somewhere you'd spend more than an hour or more. Great photo opportunities!

    A True Gem!
A gem of not only Maine, but of all of New England. It's my "sanctuary". Visit during any season for such breathtaking views and feelings. It "calls" to me. It's not only beautiful, but also helps the economy with its many quaint shops and the important fishing industry--particularly its active lobstering.

It was St. Patrick's Day weekend and good weather, so there were quite a few tourists milling around. I took some nice shots of the cove, the harbor, and the Harbormaster Shack's assortment of birdhouses and other nautical paraphernalia.

Gorgeous stop and beautiful photo opportunities. We were there on the day Hurricane Lee was supposed to hit so the waves were magnificent.

Went about 7 pm. Most shops closed. Still have to pay for parking. 🤑 perhaps if the shops were open, might have been worthwhile.

Lovely area, not as over-run with tourists but lots of quaint shops, hotels in and around Perkins Cove. Went on a Friday in July and was VERY hard to find parking on the wharf though.
