Mt. Agamenticus was formerly a ski area which is now a conservation area. There is a road to the summit for driving or bicycling and various hiking trails. Either way, it's a pretty short journey. Views from the top are excellent, especially on a clear...More

Enjoyed a nice drive up Mt. A this past weekend. Although there are many hiking trails, for the first time we decided to drive and just check it out. You can access the mountain from York or Ogunquit and it is a short drive up...More

A local was kind enough to tell us about this scenic place with hiking trails. We even enjoyed the drive there away from the main town. There were signs for turtle crossings which we’ve never seen. We spent about an hour walking. It’s very peaceful...More

Short shaded hike to one of the nicest views I've seen in New England. The trail at the top is a full loop with views of the white mountains and the Maine coast. You can also drive to the top.

After having a quick snack at Flo's Hot Dog shack, we decided to check out the view since Mountain Road leading up to it was right across the street. Reaching the top by car, there's a good size, albeit dusty, parking area, surrounded by beautiful...More

We stopped here after a visit to the Nubble Light. A great vantage point to take pictures from and a quick drive from the lighthouse, with the drive to the top if you are in the area.

We took the easy route and drove to the top to take in the wonderful views. Next time we may bring a picnic and stay longer. It was well worth it.

No swimming spots on mountain. Many lakes, rivers and ocean near by. Most motels have pools.. Enjoy the mountain; then enjoy a swim.

Mt. Agamenticus is only 500 feet tall, so it isn't the largest mountain in the area. Mt. A is southwest of Kennebunkport and southwest of Ogunquit.
