Definitely worth the walk. Tricky in winter with snow. Beautiful vistas and great photo opportunity. Must get very busy in the summer.

It’s an easy paved trail along the shore with beautiful views. However, there were a couple spots that were icy and slippery, but were able to go around with the help of hanging on a fence for a couple feet. Lots of picturesque spots!

We love the Marginal Way. Beautiful views of the ocean and little hidden coves to rest and relax, as well as dip your feet in the water. We love walking to Perkins Cove and exploring via the Marginal Way.

The views are amazing! I can't in good conscience recommend making this walk during a snowstorm as we did, but I can certainly imagine how beautiful a walk it would be during the summer season. Definitely worth doing, no matter what the weather.

Great walking path beside the ocean. Lots of people walk here so it can get a little crowded. Pretty views of the ocean & ice cream & restaurants nearby. This is a great way to enjoy this area!

This is the best exercise after having lunch at a seafood restaurant after shopping or just sightseeing. Do bring a camera & a good pair of sneakers & enjoy the different views of the ocean. Enjoy the variety of shops and perhaps an ice cream...More

The marginal way is a walking path right on the ocean. If you are in the area it is a must. Perkins Cove is beautiful.

This was not my first time here and it will not be my last. Experience this beautiful walk along Coastal Maine at your leisure. There are benches along the path to just relax, breathe in the salt air and enjoy the natural beauty. End up...More

Live here beautiful. Bring a camera. Visit the many restaurants. Cary out your trash, dog poop and dirty diapers. Sad but necessary.

I believe it's over a mile if you walk the entire path. It's paved the whole way.

I have never seen dogs during the Summer on the Marginal Way but I’ll bet they are there in the off season. There are pet friendly locations.
