Just by chance we drove by this museum. A very friendly lady showed us around. Great to see those historic automobiles. Lots of information on the technique of the steam driven engines. A must see for fans!

This museum is dedicated to F.O. & F.E. Stanley and the famous Stanley Steamer Automobile. There are great examples of the car itself as well as the history of the Stanley family and how they made their fortune in photography.

This museum is small, but fascinating. The staff are friendly and eager to share their store of knowledge about the Stanley family. We spent a wonderful couple of hours at this museum on each of two days on our recent stay in Maine.

This is a small gem of a museum lovingly watched over by docents who know their subject matter and give you personalized tours. The museum houses three beautiful, restored Stanley Steamer automobiles which would be luxury cars even today. They are really BIG! with gorgeous...More
