This was a great cruise to view foliage around Moosehead Lake. It was early October and the cruise was 5 hours long. The weather was warm, little breeze and the lake was like glass. The captain narrated sites on the way out through the lake but did not repeat the info on the way back. We were able to get... More

We opted for the longer cruise to Mt Kineo which is only offered every two weeks. It was so enjoyable and relaxing. Highly recommended.

We recently visited Maine and had our entire week and a half trip laid out in advance, making reservations for tours, train ride, etc. However, we were not aware of the Katahdin Cruise until we arrived in Greenville, and when we realized we were there in time to take the cruise our first day, we did. It was one of... More

Went on the boat ride with my parents, husband and son. We did the 3 hour ride, it was a little long for our 2 year old but he did pretty well with it. We went mid-September and it was a little chilly (they do offer blankets), the trip was still fun though, we just alternated going inside and out.... More

This is a wonderful way to experience Moosehead Lake and the beautiful surrounding area. The historic steamboat is full of interesting memorabilia, and the narration during the trip gives you a historical perspective as you pass through the respective areas. There is also an opportunity to go below deck and view the engines. There is ample seating and the cafe... More

Beautiful scenery. Friendly crew. Very well-maintained historical boat. Our 3rd or 4th cruise over the years. Be sure to have a Whoopie Pie from the galley.

The ride was 3 hours long and the kids got a little bored half way through but we enjoyed it. My son was able to drive the boat with the captain, which he really enjoyed. Was nice to see the lack of homes along the lake and mountains. Coming back into dock was the best it took a while to... More

Beautiful! Impressive and the crew were great and informative. I had perfect homemade clam chowder. You can go down under the deck and see the engine, that was interesting. Also the cliffs were beautiful and the tour guide gave a lot of information.

Trip is scheduled for 3 hours. Way too long for what you see. The scenery is pretty but the same all around. 1 hour would be sufficient.

Thank you for your review. We recognize that a three hour cruise is a little long for some people, especially those with children. Next year we will be adding shorter, more family friendly, cruises on Sundays. We hope you'll get a chance to try it out! More

This was a less than pleasant experience due to the obnoxious, loud drunks. Sometimes we had trouble hearing the music over their hooting and hollering. I understand people want to have a good time, but please some respect. When people are boarding with huge coolers, there is trouble. Also, boarding was at 6, not a minute before. We thought we... Very sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the Rock & Roll cruise. We are always interested in improving passenger experience, so if you could recommend some concrete steps to address the issues you brought up, it would be helpful to us in planning cruises for next season. More
