Beautiful large lake!

Moosehead Lake is a remote lake in Maine that offers so many opportunities from winter skiing to summer hiking. Bring a kayak!

What's on my Mind? Her name is Barbara Daigle and she owns and manages the Moosehead Lake Cottage Resort. Our family has owned a timeshare here for 10+ years and have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this unpleasant human being. It's taken 10 years to finally say enough is enough and do something. When our children were babies... More

Moosehead Lake is amazing. Clean and cear. From Greenville to Kakadjo to Spencer Pond, it is an amazing, unspoiled area of Maine.

Moosehead lake is the biggest lake in Maine. If you are in Greenville you can take the Katardin. "The Kate" is an old time boat that tours Moosehead. She has daily trips sometimes serving lunch and other times she has evening trips with rock and roll themes. Moosehead lake can be enjoyed by all. If you have a boat you... More

I grew up in Maine and lived there for many years, but now at 70 years old, I decided to see the lake. The road in and the road out were quite deserted as one would expect in the winter in Maine, but the scenery was gorgeous as one would expect in winter in Maine. The small town of Greenville... We knew it would take several hours. But we did not know what we were getting into. After having breakfast in Kokadjo we proceeded to drive around Moosehead Lake. We got towards the north end of the lake when we come across a arm across the road directing us to pull into a parking lot and go into the adjacent... More

We really enjoyed our week here at Moosehead Cottages Resort the last week of October. Only a few restaurants were open, but they were all good in different ways. We searched for moose daily, driving to Rockwood, Kokadjo, and Shirley before daybreak and evening and times in between, but to paraphrase Dylan Thomas "the wise moose never appeared!" Still we... A five hour drive from the Boston area and only two hours from Quebec City. Moosehead Lake is a little peace of paradise in northwestern Maine. You are surrounded by nature, the lake is the largest East of the Mississippi and the foliage is beautiful. Lots of fun restaurants, nature walks, cute little downtown in Greenville. We rented a post... More
