We visited off-season which probably affected our perception of the place but it's nothing more than glorified picnic area. Good views are scarce and the forest is, well, a forest. We were the only visitors in the park so we thought charging $6 per person...More

pretty park, just 3 miles from downtown, great short hikes and vistas of the bay. Could not park in park during march, had to park on street.

A great place to view the ocean and go fpr a casual walk. As of February 24th the trails are iced in. Creepers or ice grips are necessary to walk safe. The snow along the trail make it possible to walk but be prepared.

What a wonderful contrast to the outlets that are just a few miles down the road. Pack a lunch, bring your dog & camera, and enjoy the fresh air and serene views.

Gardens are lovely, campsites are nice and the animals are awesome. A good place to spend a day or a weekend.

This state park is under-rated and a hidden gem for you. Even in the winter, the walking paths and views of Casco Bay and Harraseeket Bay are exceptional. Nice easy terrain, and short distances. Take an hour, or three hours and take it all in.

Whenever I'm in Freeport on a nice day with a little extra time, I always make the short drive (10-15mins from downtown) out to this park. It's just a lovely way to get a taste of Maine coast and forest, not to mention a little...More

Was in area & looking for a nice easy walk to see some local colors. Park was nicely balanced with flat terrain & parts that were a bit up & down through the woods to the coast.

Absolutely allowed. We ran into a park ranger and we had a long discussion about dogs, in general. Obviously, on leash, and also bag your poop, on or off trail(otherwise other dogs or animals would eat your dogs... More
