A must for those who appreciate fine jewelry & a peaceful facility!
My husband & I made an appointment to take a tour of the workshop and boutique. We were met by Dewi Purnawati, who was absolutely an amazing guide. We were amazed at the process & detail that goes into the creating and making of the beautiful pieces. She also explained "The Long Table", where the employees have a luncheon with no talk of work. We came away with a greater appreciation for the John Hardy brand. It truly "takes a village" to create such lovely pieces. After we returned to our hotel, my husband surprised me by making another appointment with Dewi , a few days later, to purchase a beautiful bracelet. We highly recommend visiting John Hardy Workshop & Kapal Bamboo Boutique at Mambal. Thank you Dewi for an amazing experience we look forward to returning in January!
Thank you for such kind words. We are truly happy that you are amazed with your visit at John Hardy Workshop and Kapal Bamboo Boutique. We strive to provide excellent service and experience, and we are pleased to hear that you have enjoyed such service from Dewi. We will share your review to our boutique team to keep up their amazing work, and we look forward to welcoming you back again in January.

    Pretty place for Balinese jewellery!
We visited on Christmas Eve and were very well received by Eka and the team! Wanted to check out the place after seeing their products online. We liked what we saw and left with some very pretty, finely crafted bracelets. Much good things to be said about the service when we went from casual browsing to picking up our purchases. Kids had a good time exploring the rustic bamboo lay out and open gardens. Very pretty place, and we spent time wondering around. Pity the workshop was closed, it was Christmas Eve. Will recommend for folks looking to get nice Balinese designed jewellery. They have a website that you can check out in advance.
We're absolutely delighted to hear about the wonderful time you had at our boutique, especially on such a special occasion like Christmas Eve! Your kind words about our collection and the enjoyable experience you had mean a lot to us. We apologize for the inconvenience of the workshop being closed, but we're glad your children had a lovely time exploring our Kapal Bamboo. Your recommendation is truly appreciated, and we can't wait to have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon.

    Definitely worth a visit
Booked direct with John Hardy and took a taxi from Ubud. If only every business could look after their staff the way this business does. The tour was interesting and shows what goes into making a piece of jewellery. Lisa our guide was lovely. Great morning.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit and found the tour interesting. It's wonderful to know that Lisa made your experience even more enjoyable. We take great pride in caring for our staff and are glad that it shows. We hope to welcome you back again soon for another great experience.

Essential experience in Ubud for jewellery enthusiasts in a stunning setting.
I loved my visit to the John Hardy workshop and boutique in Ubud. The grounds and buildings are stunning, with traditional huts set in shaded bamboo forest and streams. Hayfa gave us a friendly and informative guided tour through the workshop and explained the jewellery making process. It was fascinating to learn the intricate technique to make the jewellery. We couldn’t believe there are 500 artisans in the workshop, with the finished products being sent to the New York headquarters before being sent to their boutiques and retailers around the world. Some Pieces are sent to Bangkok to have gemstones fitted. It was a fantastic experience and I’ll treasure my beautiful bracelet bought in the boutique after the tour. Thanks so much to Hayfa and all the staff for a truly memorable time.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the stunning grounds and buildings, as well as the informative tour through the workshop. It's fascinating to learn about the intricate jewelry-making process and the journey of each piece. We're glad you found a beautiful bracelet to treasure. We're delighted that your visit was memorable. We look forward to welcoming you back!

Visited the shop which is beautiful which is expected as I know John Hardy and his work and school. Looked at a ring but needed a half size. The rep, Putri, said she’d get back to me the next business day but didn’t get back until 4 days later. Then tells me that the cost doesn’t meet the minimum spent requirement to make a custom size (by like $50). No further explanation on what the cost is or asking whether I want to buy anything else. Disappointing and a bit off putting how the message was delivered.

No whatsapp number for the store listed anywhere including their website to schedule a factory tour or talk with anyone in advance adding to more frustration.

Putri spent a few hours with me and my husband touring the atelier. She expertly explained the process of creating a unique piece of John Hardy jewelry. It was evident that the people involved in the process were proud to be part of the team. Each step of the process is important and the end result is truly a collaboration of various skills each fully dependent upon the previous stage as well as the next phase. After experiencing the John Hardy difference, I will wear my new piece of jewelry with pride and think fondly of the time Putri spent with us making sure we had a full appreciation of the skilled crafting that goes into each piece and that we went home with just the right creation. Time well spent-we didn’t even realize it was raining outside!

If you are visiting Bali, the John Hardy Workshop and Boutique are an absolute must. I was in charge of making sure that our group of 4 was able to go on weekday to get the full tour and join their management team at the Long Table Lunch. The tour and story behind the brand not only amazed but impressed all of us on how the brand came into being and how the company operates. I will continue to be a John Hardy wearer for life!

Is a marvellous place. We really enjoyed our visit and seeing the beautifully laid out grounds and premises. We love the ethos of the organisation with their emphasis on fire and and and care for the workforce. It was lovely to go round the workshop and see some of these exquisite pieces being made. We joined some of the employees for a rather special and very tasty lunch. And of course we bought a couple of superbly crafted pieces of jewelry which we will treasure. It is well worth going to visit – won’t regret it. Staff are delightful – very friendly and not at all pushy. They showed us a whole range of pieces of jewelry and made suggestions, but there was no pressure. We were just bowled away, bye elegance and share craftsmanship of the pieces we were looking at

I bought the bracelet on Celebrity Cruise 12/22/22. When I got home took it out to wear it, the gold dot fell off. Celebrity gave me a invalid number to contact so I called John Hardy and while CS was pleasant and sdmitted to having the dot fall off as a problem the repair department sent me a note to tell me it would take two and half to three months to fix. Its under warranty but they also said they would give me a quote when they receive the item. This is a big hassle for an item that is so pricey. They also encouraged that insurance be taken on it. Additional cost. They donot cover the shipping. These are all considerations. This is your high end service.

We stayed in Amandari, 20 min of driving to get there. Ketut spent 2 hours with me and my wife touring the atelier and the beautiful bamboo boutique. She is an excellent guide and explained all the all 8 processes to create a fine jewelry here from ideal to reality. We are touched by John Hardy’s concept of Bali cultural tradition, which will inspire all the visitors to have a warm image of this great brand. If you a traveler in Bali and have enough time, definitely you should go there to have a visit!
