Local art, intriguing books, friends of the earth

Very interesting local artists' works for sale. Book titles, many of them children, that have to be hard to find if not rare. Out back in the barn are $1 books and more. Owners... read more

You could spend a few hours here browsing the huge collection of old books. The art works primarily by local artisans is more modernistic than suits my taste, but the proprietor is very nice. Well worth stopping by and checking them out if you have the time.

Very interesting local artists' works for sale. Book titles, many of them children, that have to be hard to find if not rare. Out back in the barn are $1 books and more. Owners are very knowledgeable about the preserves in the area and have a nature walk of their own for you to go on. Very enjoyable stop.

This is a wonderful art gallery. Totally worth a drive out from Bar Harbor or wherever you are. The owners are lovely people. The art is gorgeous and unique. We went there twice. :)

We visit this lovely gallery and book store every time we visit Maine. We find the art, crafts and books to be curated with tasteful selections representing a wide range of artists and craftsmen. Gary and Rosemary are gracious and helpful. You will not regret a visit.

Visited twice: both times we bought lovely wooden pieces. Each time the owners ensured that our purchases were packed right so they wouldn't be damaged as we drove them hours away. They have a huge range of items (glass, wool, wood, jewellery and more) and even a barn full of vintage books and magazines. Very friendly and worth a stop... More

This is a great gallery featuring local artists work. Two different buildings with lots to look at. It is worth the trip if you are in the area.

This little shop, located in a very rural part of northern, coastal Maine has a fantastic array of art and works by local artists. The owner, Rosemary, is quite an accomplished and talented rug hooker. She and her husband made an exception to their winter hours and opened for us today (a Friday) since we were in the area and...
