One of the loveliest places I have ever been. This place has a beautiful view and is maintained by the people of Cape Elizabeth themselves. If you love photography then you should visit this place. Good place for a walk & bicycle ride. It will...More

The views here are stunning. I could watch the waves for hours. It is much colder than you expect it to be and very windy. So bring a sweatshirt. Great for taking a relaxing walk. And perfect for photographers.

Not much parking, and you can't get close to the lighthouse without trespassing on private residential property. Stopping on the dead end street for a quick photo is ok, but walking around seems to make the residents nervous. Apparently an arson incident has made the...More

I visited on a heavy fog day and was not disappointed. The heavy surf was a beautiful backdrop to the Light house. Great photo spot.

Located on Coast Guard property, access is restricted, so, most often you have a limited view of the lighthouse itself. But the rocky coastline at its base is beautiful. It reminded me of The Burren in Ireland. Amazing!

You know that you have become hopelessly addicted to lighthouse photography when you cannot move more than 2 feet in any direction without pointing the camera again towards the lighthouse, in search of that perfect combination of light and color. This is one of those...More

Actually not a lot to do here, but just beautiful to see. This is the most classic of light houses. It has beautiful water views with a rocky shoreline. This is where Forrest Gump ended his cross country run. There are letters painted on the...More
