Our sailing excursion on the Schooner Surprise was definitely a highlight of our 9 day trip up coastal Maine! My husband and I relaxed, enjoyed the beautiful weather, gorgeous views of the water, other sailing vessels, homes of well known people, and the prettiest lighthouse!...More

We could not have asked for better weather, with sunny skies & a nice breeze to push us around the water. As a bonus, the fall colors were reaching peak colors! Capt. Will & Laird were entertaining & informative. Great experience.

Even on the colder days, it is a great trip! They have blankets and jackets on the boat if you are cold, and you can bring drinks and snacks to enhance the experience.

The two captains were very friendly, interesting, good sense of humor, very knowledgeable. We were lucky to have a warm, sunny day and smooth sailing. It was a very relaxing experience and very much worth the cost.

The boat owners “captained” and “first mated” this schooner tour - they were both knowledgeable and entertaining while being extremely genuine and personable the entire trip. It was a great way to see Maine from the water!

This boat was built long time ago. Can’t remember. I think the captain said 1920s? Well whatever it’s been kept in good condition. The staff on board was really nice. I enjoyed my time. Bring a light jacket.

Yes... great experience. There's only one sail with the music and desert... Also, if you ask, you can help them set the sails and steer the boat for awhile
