I brought my boyfriend here for his first time. He was as taken back by the views as I was on my first trip. We ended up finding the trail that leads you down to Camden Center. Per a family of 4 hiking up, it's...More

The trails are wonderful. We visited with our family of four with two children and the hike was delightful and the views from the top are spectacular - worth the trip. The ranger was very helpful and the $6 entry fee well worth the value.

We went on a dreary day, which really took away from the view. The drive to the top was as expected, not too exciting. At the top was some nice open areas and a neat castle type of thing. Unfortunately the clouds blocked most of...More

The views from the top of the mountain were amazing. Since it was cold the day I went I drove but it was worth it. You do have to pay $6 per person if not from Maine.

It is worth the view, driving or walking. You must pay a $6 fee if you're not a Maine resident, but it's completely worth it.

Wonderful view from the top of the mountain. Great place to take some pics, picnic, or hike one of the trails.

My husband and I hiked Mount Battie using the carriage trail. The 2.5 mile round trip hike was spectacular. The views of Penobscot Bay and the islands were absolutely breathtaking.

While staying in Camden, we drove up to Mount Battie. It is a 10 minute drive with a small entrance fee. Great view over Camden. I'd do it again...but we had great weather. There were a lot of people there...but not overly crowded.

The road is paved, two-laned and 1.5 miles in length. Tour buses and motorhomes can climb/descend it with no problem.
