This is a nice moderate hike to the top of the mountain. You can also drive, but it is better to hike. The top has very nice views of the surrounding areas. This is not Cadillac mountain, but it is still a nice place to...More

You can get there by car in case trekking up the mountain is not your thing... fantastic spot for a picnic or sunrise watching.

Nice enough trail. We paid the $4/person and started at the state park trailhead. Parts of the trail follow the road, which crosses it at least twice. The view of Camden is worth it alone. But the top is also accessible by car, hence the...More

Spent a morning hiking in Camden Hills State Park and drove up Mt Battie. Definitely worth the $6 per person entrance fee to park. The views are amazing. There is a small tower to climb. A great place to enjoy a snack or hang out...More

It is well worth the small toll to drive up to the summit of Mt Batty. The view of the Bay, Camden & points north is spectacular. Ample parking @ the top, no restroom or public facilities provided.

Went there with the kids. Easy access from Camden and surrounding areas. The park is divided in two by route 1 (shore and mountain). Had a picnic over the shore first and then headed to the mountain. Great view from there. We were with our...More

The views are magnificent from the tower. We drove up the road, there were many who hiked up. Plenty of area to stroll, fairly flat at top. Wild blueberries to pick. Could spend a couple of hours if you walked some trails from town.

You cannot come to Camden and not go to Mount Battie. The view is amazing and peaceful - if you come early in the day. Afternoons are a little crowded.

Short ride up. So many views to see. Climb the lookout tower. Bring a Camera. You will want to capture all the sights

Camden Hills is open year round except if roads are bad. As far as I know, hiking in any time is permitted.
