Well worth the time and money to travel up the mountain. If you are of the healthy sort a hike up the mountain should take you twenty to thirty minutes.

We drove up there and the history and the site was very picturesque. If we had had more time we would have enjoyed the excercise and walked up.

Mount Battie was everything they said it would be and more. Absolutely breathtaking panoramic views of Penobscot Bay. Drive the auto road to the top, then it's only a short walk to the outlook areas.

You've probably seen the photos by now, everyone takes the same ones but it really is a great view. We met a number of foreign visitors on the trail and at the top. It was great sharing stories and hearing about their experiences here. A reasonably easy hike up but it is quite rocky in many parts. There were the... More

Grew up coming to Camden as a kid, we drove up Mount Battie every summer several times during the summer too. The views are incredible up there, especially on a clear day. Highly recommend this little mountain to view Camden Harbor from.

Visited and climbed Mount Battie. Reasonably steep climb via road or trail. However, well worth it as the view from the top over Camden Harbour and Penobscot Bay and the myriad of islands therein is simply stunning. We also walked one of the trails in the Camden Hills State Park in which Mount Battie is located and enjoyed this also.

I brought my boyfriend here for his first time. He was as taken back by the views as I was on my first trip. We ended up finding the trail that leads you down to Camden Center. Per a family of 4 hiking up, it's only a half mile, and a beginner can do this with the proper foot wear.... More

The trails are wonderful. We visited with our family of four with two children and the hike was delightful and the views from the top are spectacular - worth the trip. The ranger was very helpful and the $6 entry fee well worth the value.

We went on a dreary day, which really took away from the view. The drive to the top was as expected, not too exciting. At the top was some nice open areas and a neat castle type of thing. Unfortunately the clouds blocked most of the views. We were able to see the village pretty good, but nothing far off.... More
