One of the best views in Maine

State parks are often overlooked, and missing this one is a crime. Summit Mt Battie by car or foot and enjoy sweeping views of the bay and islands.

This is one of my favorite shoreline hikes, allowing you to walk the beautiful coastline under the cover of the forest. There are several steep access areas that put you on the water, allowing you to scramble across the rocks to the waters edge (my sons favorite activity!) There are picnic areas and some grills and restrooms, and there are... More

We were in Maine at the height of fall color. We had been in Camden and decide to go to the park and the Mountain. The drive up was pretty but nothing compared to the view from the top, overlooking Camden and the bay. I am so glad we went up. We got some beautiful pictures. Sights not to be... More

Great State Park with great views. Could have stayed there forever and watching. Would love to come back and hike there.

Easy to find if you're renting a car and driving there but not easy to access via public transport. It's a cool place for a day hike or maybe a few days stay if love the outdoors. (They offer campground / tent sites and RV parking with electricity and water services). Fabulous views over Penobscot bay and islands! Great place... More

Beautiful hiking up an accessible destination! Crisp autumn leaves overhead and under foot, unfortunately the tower was under renovation so we didn't reach the pinnacle But the views were awesome!!

Great spot for hiking & birding and breathtaking views! Grab a lunch at the Camden Deli and take the very short drive to the park. We had the place to ourselves - no crowds here. Serenity and silence.

A little bit pricey for no more than there is to see, but veterans do get a discount as do seniors. The view is quiet stunning. Great picture opportunity.
