My husband and I kayaked out to the island yesterday it took us about an hour. Beautiful and very peaceful. We were the only ones on the island and enjoyed climbing on the rocks and looking at the great views. Relaxing!!!!

We've been coming here for years by our own boat. Often we can tie up to the dock or take a mooring and row in. Nice well-kept trails, with a clean bathroom, wonderful lighthouse, with great views of the harbor and beyond. There is even...More

The adult and youth volunteers/presenters were authentic in portraying life on Burnt Island in the 1950's. It was a very fun and informative tour. Climbing the lighthouse was a nice added bonus.

Burnt Island is one of several lighthouses in the Boothbay Harbor area. You can visit it by boat from the harbor itself - or you could swim or take a rowboat I presume! I don't recommend the swimming but suppose it's possible. It's a charming...More

We have summered at Boothbay for years and have never done this tour. What a great experience. They dress as the light keeper, Muise family, who were light keepers in the 1950's. The actors tell you the actual family actual stories from there time living...More

They only do the tour on certain days. Call balmy day cruises and they can answer that for you.
