Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a natural wonder on 270 acres of shorefront in mid-coast Maine. Strolling through spectacular ornamental gardens and traversing miles of waterfront and woodland trails, visitors are delighted by the beautiful plantings, impressive stonework, waterfalls and fountains, and scenic views. It's no wonder the Gardens have been hailed as one of Maine's top three attractions. The Gardens are open 9-5 April 15 - October 31 (open until 6 pm in July and August). There is a cafe and gift shop on site. A visit at any time is a memorable experience.

The fall colors are beautiful. Walking thru the gardens is so serene and peaceful. And I thoroughly enjoyed watching bees and butterflies flit from flower to flower; time passed too quickly. Each season brings different colors and things to look forward to.

We were delighted by these beautiful gardens. The flowers and plantings are very well arranged, and the children's section offers a wide variety of activities that everyone can enjoy. What's not to love about a Fairie Village, and sculptures that move with the wind? Highly...More

Wonderful time exploring the trails in the Garden. I was here in December for Gardens Aglow and the full grounds were much more extensive than I had realized. Loved peeking into the fairy houses (even as an adult). It was fun to watch the children...More

Some places are not as good as you hope. This is not one of them. We went in September and were pleasantly surprised by the beauty and variety. It is even better than the website makes it seem. There are multiple varieties of gardens and...More

Wonderful gardens, we enjoyed walking the various trails, very peaceful, and nice to know there was a free shuttle if we needed it. Amazing that it has only been in place 10 years, it seems so established. Major expansion is underway, but that didn't impact...More

You can arrive in Boothbay Harbor but you would need to pass under a fixed bridge to get to the Gardens. It is tidal water so the clearance under the bridge varies. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call... More

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to avoid crowds but special attractions and guests are most often on weekends. It's really a large area so there should not be much crowding other than the ticket line and delightful restaurant.
