My husband and I came here in September. We had our own kayak's but were looking for some advice as to where to launch. The people at Bethel Outdoor were so friendly and helpful. They not only let us use their launch free of charge but they talked us through some tips and tricks for the river as well which... More

We've been coming to the Bethel area for years but never rented kayaks down the Androscoggin River. Had a wonderful trip. We were educated on the river and the possibility of low water levels in various areas, the guides showed us a map and were very clear about where we were kayaking and where we would be ending up, we... My husband and I took our boys and they loved it. The staff was sooo nice and friendly. He answered their many many questions and was very knowledgeable. My husband and I went there 2 Years ago for our anniversary and had just as much fun then too. It is something we will be sure to do whenever we vacation... More

My husband, my son and I went to rent kayaks, It sounds to be a great experience, it's a beautiful river, scenic. But in the "tour" you are alone at your own risk, nobody guides you, any signal in the river, just nothing. They live you in one place and you have to get the other side two or three... More

My family of five had a blast kayaking down the Androscoggin River. The water level was a bit low and they warned us that we may need to pick up our kayak in a few places. Beautiful views of the mountains and many places to stop for picnic lunch. I liked that the guides showed a map of the river... More

Had a great day on the river with a rental canoe from Bethel Outdoor Adventure. Great scenery and fishing. The owners were great and took good care of us. Also highly suggest the hike around the island.

We took our two grandchildren, ages six and five, here last weekend to "hunt" for gems. On the advice of the man running the sluice, we purchased the $50.00 bucket instead of two $25 buckets and had the kids share. He was very good explaining to them what to do and what to look for in their bucket---very patient with... More

The Bethel Outdoor Adventures & Campground is a place where you can relax and enjoy the outdoors. We parked our travel trailer there next to the Androscoggin River. The tubing and kyaking is GREAT! From the campground, driving an hour we were on the top of Mount Washington, NH. Back in Bethel, ME there are great restaurant's and small stores.... More

We came to "find" gems- for $25.00 we get a bucket to sift through. Dave was extremely knowledgable and helpful, we got some cool gems and had a really fun time.
