We continued walking around the harbor and headed up to the Passy Trail. Very nice views of the harbor and we ran into some very nice locals who loved their home. Lots of bicycle traffic that day.

The walk takes you through an active ship yard along the river with a walking bridge that crosses the river. We met a gentleman who was digging for bait and watched an impressive yacht being lowered into the river.

Eagles, osprey, kingfisher, oh my! Take the walk, it is a treasure. Well maintained and always something to see going up the river.

This is a beautiful trail that is meticulously maintained. For walking or running....excellent! The cool breezes off the river are amazing....beautiful sites and a fun railroad station on one end. Well worth the time and exercise!

Wow...what a nice couple of miles on the East side of the Passagassawakeag River. Abundant wildlife great river views, and well maintained trail. The extension from the foot bridge North is only a couple of years old and is rapidly becoming a favorite.

The trail is quite new and beautifully maintained. It goes right along the river, eventually to the Belfast&Moosehead Lake RR depot. It is flat all the way and moderately interesting. 4.4 miles round trip, though you can join it farther along if you don't wish...More

Have walked here several times while recuperating from hip surgery. Wide flat walking trails. Today, mid October, the walk offered a bit of color. Have done section from City Point to upper bridge, but hope to be up for including other half before long. This...More

My husband and I walked part of this recently developed foot and bike path which meanders along the Passagassawakeag River and offers scenic and historically interesting views. It's an easy walk, and the trail wasn't crowded, though it was a beautiful autumn day. At some...More

There is a bike rental shop in Belfast on High St. across from the theater....just a few minutes ride to the trail head.
