The morning was abnormally warm for the end of October -- in the high 70s -- and the park was very peaceful, with a few people enjoying the weather and views. The foliage was past peak but still colorful, and the Kennebec River was like a mirror that reflected the Sagadahoc Bridge beautifully.

After dining downtown, we made the short walk to this city park. It is a city gem offering locals and tourists exceptional views of both the Kennebec River and Sagadahoc Bridge.

We stopped at the IGA and had sandwiches on the benches and adirondack chairs. Peaceful and loverly. One night they had a Jazz Ensemble playing.
