We are new to Bangor and brought our two kids here (8 and 5 years old). They really enjoyed it. There are lots of rooms with fun things to play with, climb on or learn. Some fun bugs, lizards and animals to look at. A two story play fort. Lots of interact stuff for the kids and a room with a playing river for the kids with boats and rubber duckies. Lots of times they have special guest to teach things for the kids or act projects. They have a year membership that is very tempting to get.

Took my grandson, but enjoyed it very much myself. Lots of hands on experience. Neat music stuff, virtual reality, how things work, just a lot of variety.

Every time we go, half the attractions are broken or closed. Our kids are always disappointed. They charge full price either way. We feel that if half your attractions that you show online are in major disrepair or not working at all you should reflect that in your pricing.... Won't be back until we hear that the much needed repairs are made... Sorry...

We take our toddler to the museum on a regular basis. She discovers new things as she grows older and has a great time playing.

Absolutely floored by the quality of this museum. Great displays. Great history lessons. I have been many times and it is a must see stop for anyone who comes from out of state.

The city of Bangor is so fortunate to have such a wonderful museum for all to enjoy. Located in the heart of downtown Bangor the Maine Discovery Museum is a can't miss visit for locals as well as visitors especially those with children. The museum is a multi floor adventure in history, science and the arts. The admission price is reasonable and the staff is very helpful. Take time to visit you won't be sorry.

We were recently visited by family with children under 12 and I went with them to the Maine Discovery Museum. It has been five years since my last visit, since my two are 15/19. I was amazed at the changes and the interactive nature of the exhibits.
The staff was helpful but overworked on this busy saturday.
Well done the MDM is still a must stop for families with children.
