The Cajun village has some neat little shops with down-home local flare that are worth a stop in if you're in the area. While you're there, stop at the Coffee Pot for a bite to eat anytime of day. Grab some beignets and coffee, or have you some Gumbo or Red Beans and rice - it's all pretty good from... More

Was in the area staying at the cottages associated with this place. Lots of neat shops covering every type of cajun clothing, entertaiinment, spices, candy, etc. you could think of. Antiques, pottery classes and showroom, estate sales items and much more. All the people here were very nice and exhibited the southern hospitality you should expect from the area. Highly... More

From Houmas Plantation, we rushed there right before it closed (6pm) to get some cafe au lait et beignets and they were absolutely delicious, far better than those from Cafe du Monde. Can't tell about the other shops though.

You can stop in for breakfast as we did today with our 3 grands. They love the bengiets. I'm bringing my Red Hatters the Lafourche Dizzy Lizzies there in Sept. for our Dilly Dally to have lunch & shop.

Amazing place. Certainly swamp land so we applaud the people who chose to settle, build and live there. It was raining our visit which reinforced even more what must have been a hard life and not conducive to good health either. Amongst a large number of amusingly posed old alligators I was quite terrified I'd see a live one. The... More

Beignets like you've never had before, premium coffee in a quaint and comfy atmosphere. I love Sorrento and especially the Cajun village.

Cradled within a segment of land among the traditional Louisiana mossy oak trees ~ rests a cluster of well preserved wood framed buildings that will welcome you to TRUE Cajun history. Visionaries, Don and Beth, a married power couple ~ are inspired to preserve Cajun tradition by maintaining a store that has an abundance of clothing that includes "Authentic" LSU... More

The Cajun Village may be one of the most interesting attractions on the I10 drive across South Louisiana. Just a quarter mile off the interstate at Hwy 22, the Village consists of old Cajun style houses and stores moved in from the country. Each building provides a unique experience including dining, shopping, and even B & B cottages. The grounds... More

I have been here many times with my family but, I will not go back. I was totally frustrated with the manager. I placed order for 2 club sandwiches and 2 orders of beignets to go. After 20 minutes I inquired about my order. The young lady at the register asked what I ordered. When I told her the manager... More
