John Slidell Park is a large and spread out park on the North side of Slidell on Robert Boulevard and just on the Southeast side of I-12. Near the entrance is a large open area with picnic tables and a sizeable, well equipped children's playground with ample parking. In the same area are a couple of baseball fields with controlled access (e.g. for ticket sales) and restrooms. Going on back through the park are a number of additional baseball fields ranging from simple to much better set up (e.g. for Little League games). Toward the back of the park is the John Slidell Recreation Center. Also, access to trails that are both paved and unpaved for walking and/or bike riding -no motorized vehicles of any sort are allowed. There are also a couple of informal volleyball courts in the park.
