One of the oldest churches in LA. Surrounded by oaks and cemetery.nice music for masses? We live across the Mississippi River but make the 15 or so mile trip frequently

I love exploring St. Francisville because it's so historically beautiful and when I do visit I always make sure to stop by this cemetery. I love the Gothic Revival architecture, it's hauntingly beautiful.

The church is beautiful. The cemetery is peaceful and gorgeous with old spanish oaks and moss and old stones. I like cemeteries, and it is a must see, if you are into history.....

We visited this cemetery at dusk and thoroughly enjoyed a quiet stroll through the markers with distant thunder as background noise and fireflies lighting up the paths.

We did an impromptu stop. The grounds are beautiful with large trees and moss hanging. We toured the grounds and viewed the old cemetery located there.

Seriously the most well maintained respectful impressive church and cemetery I have ever spent time in. I was overwhelmed by the amount of care taken of the departed. The age of some of these headstones is amazing. Add I the beautiful trees with hanging moss and red brick old church....its just breathtaking.

Visiting here was like stepping back in time. The Church and grounds are obviously hundreds of years old. Very picturesque and creepy at the same time. A must visit for artists, history buffs, photographers and anyone interested in architecture. The church was closed but I would call and see when it is open to the public, if at all. Will visit...
