We were lucky to see this as they were closing for a few months for some essential repairs. It was a sunny day and we got there not long after it opened at 9:00am, the grounds are fantastic to walk about in, you might even...More

The Oakley House is closed for nine months to a year for lead abatement of the paint on the outside. If you were to get close enough to see it, all you would see was a white tarp. Call before you go to make sure...More

When touring St. Francisville you must stop in and take a tour of the Oakley Plantation. It is not too far from downtown St. Francisville and well worth your time. You can learn a little about Audubon's time in St. Francisville.

This is a different type of plantation. The home has been restored to what it was years ago....no fancy remakes or updated furniture. Very interesting stories of this location.
