Well we went to the museum to explore and go to the planetarium. Well parts of the museum were blocked off and they said the planetarium was closed. The museum is mediocre at best, but having the planetarium would have helped. As we were about to leave we saw a group come out of the planetarium. I guess they didn't want to open it for just 2 people, which is really sad. Plus they charge you $2 more to use a credit card, wow what a markup. I guess its all about money which is really sad. I will never support this place again. Don't waste your time.

Fairly small, but decent overall. The facility needs a bit more room for a science museum in this size of a town, but that's my only complaint

Downtown Lafayette so it's within walking distance of parking and other places to visit. Admission prices are reasonable, staff is very friendly and helpful. Lot's of hands on activities and interesting exhibits. Loved the Acadiana 360 virtual reality experience and the big screen that put you in the picture (forgot what the exhibit was called). A must do when in downtown Lafayette.

Located right in the middle of downtown with plenty of restaurants around, making for a nice lunch outing. They had a virtual reality exhibit when we visited which was really cool. They also had paleontologist digging a skeleton out of a big piece of rock that you could watch through a glass wall. The planetarium is really nice also.

This is a dynamic science museum with enough interest for both my grandchildren and myself for multiple visits. The virtual reality exhibit was mesmerizing. I had trouble getting the grands away from it.

We visited the Museum with our 3 yo great-nephew during the Festivale Internationale event. The adults enjoyed the tour but there was very little to entertain the young one. He liked the wall size animated screen with the dinosaurs walking through town with his own image on the screen and also a table with wooden cars and buildings he could arrange.
The Children's Museum is more age-appropriate for him.

We had a great time and it's only $5 to get in. The planetarium show was excellent. The guy who ran it was extremely knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the virtual reality area and could spend half a day there.

Took our 8 year old to visit the museum. We were all impressed by the many displays. Very interactive visually and manually. Throughly enjoyed the planetarium! Great place to go with kids to learn about science.
