Even though the museum was still closed from the flooding, we were glad we made the trip to St Martinville from our RV Park in Duson. We enjoyed the beautiful trees and the information displayed outside.

We started our visit with the 12 minute movie. Excellent film and the surprise ending was the movie screen moving toward the ceiling and revealing the view from the back of the visitor center. Very picturesque. We toured the plantation house with Miss Debbie. She...More

Lovely grounds with a chance to learn about the history of the Bayou Teche area and early settlers. We went as a family group with some visiting from several states.

We had a tour of the Plantation from a very knowledgeable guide. Also, the staff in the exhibit area were very well informed about cajun history and life style.

My high school crowd used to celebrate the end of Lent with a picnic to this park on Holy Saturday: at that time, the old Maraist house was being turned into a museum. Later, an Acadian Cottage was added. Both are well worth seeing, as...More

Yes, it is open from 9-5 that day. There are paved sections of road along most of the tour, I would say it is accessible.
