A friend and I stopped at this beautiful family owned winery. We got a private tour of the winery from the (4th generation) owner. The wine was very good, priced reasonably and we weren't even charged for the tasting. I highly recommend Stilianou Winery.

We've been driving around to find some place selling olive oil on our last Cretan afternoon and ended up at Stilianou. The owner was extremely friendly and we ended up with wine and olive oil tasting. The spotlight for us is definitely the olive oil we took with us and still enjoy it back home. Great place to spend some... More

A lovely location. We walked here from Arhanes where we had come from the bus from Heraklion. A walk of about 3 miles. We could however have got the bus to the village itself. As the reviews say, warm welcome from father and son, short informative tour and really impressed with the red and white wine. Organic too and matured... More

Visited this fantastic little family run winery today and received the warmest of welcomes. Gives a real insight into a traditional small family run winery. Whole process of wine making and olive pressing explained in great detail and in English. No payment asked for and no pressure to buy any products. We came away with a wonderful bottle of white... We had spent the early part of the morning visiting Knossos and thought this would be an ideal way to finish the afternoon. The drive was through wonderful small roads into the village and out the other side to the winery. Stunning views from up high across the vines and olive trees Met by the owner who is fourth generation... More

We enjoyed a lovely morning at this vineyard, the son gave us a guided tour and explained in very good English the process of winemaking and olive oil. The tour was excellent and he answered all our questions with great patience. They were harvesting the red grape when we were there and it was fastenating to watch the work involved.... More
