This was one of the highlights of our recent vacation as our family visited Insta-Gator. This isn't a zoo or swamp experience, but a working ranch for the harvest of alligators. The guides are friendly and very knowledgeable as they lead you through an educational...More

There had been a large storm the night before, so we had an abbreviated tour with a focus more on alligator viewing and handling. The kids loved holding the baby alligators...was one of the highlights of the trip.

We stopped in on a whim while waiting for Abita Brewing to open, and we're happy we did! Despite joining an existing tour late, we found our guide (Joe) to be friendly, entertaining, and very knowledgeable. We appreciated the care and professionalism of the ranch...More

Have wanted to see an alligator, but was not interested in doing a swamp and airboat tour to see them. A co-worker recommended Insta-Gator. I called the same day we were hoping to take a tour. The man that answered the phone was very pleasant...More

I went here on several school fields trips growing up and then had my neice's birthday party here! Super great place with great people and very educational and fun.

Instagator ranch was nice. Pretty grounds. They gave a nice educational talk then walked you through the property and holding areas. For an extra fee you can hold some of the smaller gators. They also sell the meat with some recipes.

I'm not sure what the appeal of this place is for Louisianians. Very short tour, smelly walkthrough gator barn, touch pool with small young gators, long wait while people queue up to take their picture sitting in or kneeling by a statute of a gator...More

We were staying in Abita Springs for a week and were fortunate in being directed toward the Insta-Gator Ranch as a good place to visit. It would have been worthwhile just to see the programme operating around bringing alligators on from eggs and rearing them...More

They do have certain small gators that you can hold and take pictures with. They usually are pretty docile, and their mouth are taped shut.

The drive over Lake Pontchartrain causeway is stunning! A 24 mile bridge to Covington.
