Did the swamp tour with Champagne tours. Mason was our guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly, and we were very fortunate to see so much wildlife, especially the gators.Very reasonably priced.

Was a great trip and the tour guide very informative. Well worth a few hours if you're in the area. The boat trip takes you around the lake with a lot of bird life. Gators and turtles in abundance. Tour cost $20 per person.

Lake Martin is a spectacular gem in Bayou Country! The abundance of wildlife can be breathtaking. Kayaking here is spectacular. The Swamp Tours are also spectacular. Young and old will be amazed, especially during the nesting seasons for gators and/or birds! You DO have to be alert where you're walking! This is a pretty active wildlife area, and we're on... I've been to Lake Martin a few times, the Bayou Teche Experience is a great way to see the swamp in a kayak. I've seen alligators every time at this swamp. The movie Scooby Doo on Zombie Island is based in the part of Louisiana near Lake Martin. The swamp isn't creepy though, it is peaceful and fun!

A wonderful lake and swamp, full of aligators and thousands of nesting birds. We saw eagles in a nest and many other birds. We HIGHLY recommend going out on the lake with Norbert Leblanc (81 years old). A unique and respectful insight into this beautiful area.
