The Red River is the picturesque setting for Bossier City's unique shopping and entertainment destination, Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets. Across the Red River from downtown Shreveport, the project's first phase opened in November, 2003, with the state's first Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World. The remainder of Boardwalk opened in May 2005 and joined a vibrant casino district nestled along the majestic riverfront for nearly a half-mile. Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets is the first lifestyle center to open in the state of Louisiana offering outlet shopping, an entertainment district and riverfront dining.

We had dinner and a movie here and it was nice, although a little quieter (and less busy) than I would have expected.

Lots of great stores and restaurants to visit. Beautiful view of the river. We ate lunch at hooters and it was great. Visited bass pro shop store too. Parking was good and they have shuttles.

Touted as a local landmark, the Boardwalk is clean and has some really nice spots. The stores are clean, although not all of the employees are friendly. That seems to be a trend in the Shreveport area. The stores can also be fairly expensive. Overall,...More

A great outdoor "mall" like atmosphere. Lots of national brand shops as well as some unique places. A nice variety of food places as well.

The last time we went, it was not crowded at all. We are always able to get some really good deals on candles at a couple of the stores there. We also like going to Bass Pro and eating at the Cheesecake Bistro.

That would be a good time to walk I don't see a problem with walking it in the morning time to enjoy piece and quiet and nothing like morning air.

The funny bone used to be at the boardwalk but not anymore. The closest I know is The Improv in Dallas
