Great hiking with so many options for level of difficulty. Use your maps and choose wisely. Hiking boots are recommended for most trails. It was hot so we also carried water and snacks. Some areas are pretty remote and while the more popular touristy areas...More

We took a day trip here during a very hot and humid July day. Stopped in the visitor's center and was very underwhelmed. They were nice enough, but not helpful. There is no cell reception there. They provide maps, but didn't give much insight on...More

The Red River Gorge is fun, and exciting, family friendly, and educational. There are easy hikes to take with small children (my daughter is 3) and pets. RRG is absolutely beautiful, and a great press to decompress from stress.

The best views and great hikes, check out Balancing Rock and the Stone Bridge. There's a zip line (but I'm afraid of heights), but I'd advocate hiking some of the lovely trails.

Love hiking in this area. Lots of different areas to explore both shorter and longer hikes.3 No matter the season it's a great place.

Several of the arches are short walks (half mile or less round trip) from parking areas which makes them good if you don't have a lot of time or don't want to walk far, but there are also longer trails for half-day or day hikes....More

My wife and I visited the park in June. We went right after a large rainstorm so the park was nearly empty. There was almost no traffic on any of the roads and we didn't bump into anyone on the trails. It's very picturesque and...More

I think that it was allowed as long as the pet was on a leash and under control. I did not notice any while we were there but really wasn't looking either. I know that some of the cabins state whether or not pets were... More
