Public access available at Ray Jewell Park in Taylorsville. Just for fun we tried it out for fishing because the tree canopy offers such great shade and cooling breezes on hot summer days. A beautiful stream. Great for Kayaking when water is up. This is also a good Fishing stream particularly smallmouth bass. The only drawback on this stream is there is limited access points.

My friends and I often canoe Brashear's creek. Typically, we put in at Pickett's dam in Finchville, and take out on the bridge on 53 in Taylorsville. During the summer months, waterlevels can be low.
