What a beautiful trip up through the park! Along the drive were several points of interest. A trip in the fall is highly recommended as the mountain views are beautiful with the changing of the leaves!

My wife (Ellen) of 30 + years and I recently stayed here as part of a package for the annual dulcimer weekend...... It was as expected with one BIG exception. The TV in our room didn't work..... When I called the desk the response was "yeah, there was a big storm a few weeks ago and the cable in that... More

Lodge breakfast was very disappointing: overdone sausage patties, sawdust tasting pancakes, fatty undercooked bacon, disgusting biscuits and gravy. Stick to the waffles -- they are good and made fresh -- unlike other items above that tasted like yesterdays warmed up leftovers. Wednesday salmon special for dinner was not very good either. Service Staff did their best, but they need more... More

Our room had a private balcony and view of mountains and forest. Breath taking. Room had comfy king size bed, mini fridge and soft water shower. Played mini golf.

Pine Mountain has many trails and a couple of them are fairly easy. The rest are pretty strenuous with some serious elevation changes. For some reason the campground has been removed here, but they still have a nice lodge and several cabins. The cute story about the chaining of the rock is a nice bonus. I do have to mention... Nice hikes for every level. Lovely park with many things to do. Try to find a guided hike for the best experience.

The park is clean with many trails. Went to lookout point (easy) few stairs and Chain Rock (moderate, bit difficult hiking back to car)...they have benches. I used them all The last part you have to climb over a ledge so where good shoes. Bring water.

We stayed two nites in lodge. Kind of outdated! Ate dinner in lodge both nites, it was ok but they were out of items. To go into Pineville to eat you could only find a few fast food places. We found an old diner Flocoe. Ran by Rosemary 90 years old and that was fun. And a Mexican restaurant were... More
