Good to see the ancient people of this area acknowledged. There is such history in the river going back thousands of years that feels so humbling.

We are glad to see our visitors engage with our exhibits and learn from them as well. Learning about our indigenous people is vitally important. We have an award-winning program called Mound Builders that teaches about our earilest people.

In addition to the ship models and other displays concerning the river, there is a simulator which allows you to get a feel for piloting a variety of boats in several different circumstances. I thought it was fun.

Great museum about the history and uses of the Ohio Valley river system. The scale model ships, old time photos, boating simulations and film on river history are all excellent. The location in the downtown historic district is very convenient.

Actually it is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors over 60 and $5 for children. I'm not sure where the other responder got his information, but it is incorrect.
