The Purple People Bridge is a historic place, and has great views of Cincinnati, Northern kentucky and the river with its barges and paddle wheelers. Newport on the Levee is a great place to have a snack, a dinner, or a drink. If you're in the neighbor hood the end of August, Wine over Water is hosted on the bridge.... More

I live nearby and walk across this bridge nearly every day. It connects the parks along the river and the Reds stadium on the Cincinnati side to the Levee on the Kentucky side. Lovely views of both cities, barges and paddle-wheelers on the water, and lost of company from strollers, dog-walkers, runners, bikes and the like. Newport on the Levee... More

We wanted to go to Newport on the Levee but was pulling our travel trailer with us and there was no where to park with the trailer so we ended up parking on the Cincinnati side for only $5 and walked across the PPB to get there. Was a nice day so the walk across the bridge was very nice,... More

What a great place to go for a walk! Excellent views of Newport, Covington, Cincinnati and the Ohio River. Lots to see and look at on both sides of the river, as well as while.crossing this pedestrian only bridge. A must do if you're in the area!

What fun to discover that our hotel in downtown Cincinnati was right across from this pedestrian bridge over the Ohio River! It was January, but unseasonably warm, so we walked across to checkout Newport, KY. There are benches along the bridge if you care to pause and sit, and we met a few other walkers and runners along the way.... More

We traveled to Cincinnati for a Reds/Brewers series and stayed across the Ohio River in Newport, KY. This bridge made for an easy and carefree walk to GABP. Paul Brown Stadium is in the same area so walking to Bengals games would be easy too thank to the bridge.

It's good to exercise across, stroll, hang out, sight see. Definitely different. Where else do you have this access?
