A lovely traditional Indonesian home with coffee and Luwak represented. There is a full experience of the Luwak coffee and processing. There is a little shop to buy coffee and other souvenirs.

We were on an organised bus tour to Ubud. Before we got to Ubud, we stopped at a coffee plantation, Negari, in Luwak. We received a guided tour of the grounds and a coffee tasting.

There were various animals in cages such as chickens, parrots, rabbits, ducks and goats. One of the animals was the civet. These animals eat the coffee beans and pass them out at the other end. This is supposedly to make the coffee taste better.

A friendly, eloquent and knowledgeable guide with good English host us on our tour around the place. Introduce us to the Balinese culture and share interesting facts about coffee. Very helpful and not pushy at all. Great service 👍👏👏

You step from the parking lot through a gate and into a park. Here you will see the civit cat that the locals call Luwak. . These are the animals that eat coffee beans and poop them out and then they are processed into the most delicious expensive coffee in the world. They serve samples and we Tried and it tasted better than Bali coffee. A few other animals in the park. A store to purchase some coffee. It is expensive.

E così l'abbiamo bevuto pure noi.

I enjoyed sampling the various coffees but the site of birds and deer and the local civet cat in rather cramped and very basic cages spoiled the experience. I know that's a first world view but I found it confronting and won't be going back

We had a conducted tour with a very knowledgeable guide followed by a tea and coffee tasting. It was very interesting and even our two young grandchildren enjoyed it. The whole luwak coffee process is amazing, I'm not sure it's worth the hefty price tag, but it's great to have sampled it. A large variety of coffee and tea is available for purchase at a reasonable price. Definitely worth the visit.

Civits kept in tiny cages. Deer in a tiny enclosure. Birds in small cages. We were very disappointed that our driver recommended that we stop here. I would not recommend stopping here just for the sake of trying a luewak coffee. We need to stop supporting businesses that exploit and trap wild animals.
