The Frazier History Museum is a world-class museum that provides an unforgettable journey through history with ever-changing and interactive exhibits, daily performances by costumed interpreters and engaging special events and programs. To complement our amazing permanent collection, which includes thousands of items from famous world leaders and one of the country's largest toy soldier displays, the Frazier Museum offers an ever-changing selection of intriguing temporary exhibits. Every day, we offer live historic performances, bringing visitors face to face with some of the people and events that changed the world forever, as well as with average people whose moving and important stories you've probably never heard. The Frazier Museum is located on downtown Louisville's "Museum Row" in a beautiful 100,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility originally called the "Doerhoefer Building," a late 19th century, Chicago-style commercial structure. The Frazier Museum has three floors of exhibits, an education center, Museum Store and tournament ring, as well as event spaces available for rent, including a beautiful Rooftop Garden featuring seasonal blooming flowers and our Fourth Floor Loft space that accommodates up to 360 people seated.

This is one of my favorite history museums in the Louisville area. The selection of guns is amazing and the history of the different manufacturers and gun types/designs is very interesting as well. I highly recommend a visit, especially for families who are looking for a fun time.

I just loved this museum, so much so I became a member so I can bring my family when they visit me here. We first went through the Lewis and Clark Expedition exhibit. Lots of things to see and do and would especially be good for kids and history buffs. Lots of interactive features and things for kids to try... More

They have a fine Teddy Roosevelt portrait, Jesse James' gun, and a full size replica of a cowboy on horse back, but it mostly guns, guns, and more guns.

We spent a good three hours exploring this museum. I found the Lewis and Clark Exhibition to be really interesting and I learned a lot about that. The toy soldiers on display throughout the museum were exquisite. My beau enjoyed all the swords.

This is a fabulous museum. It was perfect for my son and I to view the history from the tower of London and the weapons throughout the centuries. We loved every minute of time here from the informative videos to the demonstrations by the staff members.

We went specifically for the exhibit on prohibition. Very well done. Also, enjoyed the Lewis & Clark exhibition. Very nice and interactive. Reasonably priced.

Not a large number of exhibits, but the ones they have are very interesting and have rich detail. I learned some very interesting facts that I never knew (or just don't remember from school) about the Lewis And Clark expedition. Simplistic displays but alot of information - which you have to read mostly. Sounds boring but it was captiviating. The... More

Very nice, well done museum. We went primarily for the "Prohibition" exhibit which was very interesting and informative. Nice "live" performances as well.
