Love the zoo

I bought a yearly membership and we love it. I can't wait for the weather to warm up so that we can go more often.

This zoo is a personal favorite. The animals are close and interact a lot. They always seem active and happy. Easy to navigate!

I have visited the Louisville Zoo multiple times during my life. One thing about the Louisville Zoo is they work very hard and keep it looking nice. They update it every chance they get. We've visited zoo's in Cincinnati, Evansville, St Louis, Knoxville, Columbia, and probably more if I think about it. But I think the Louisville Zoo ranks right... More

Spent the day walking around the zoo. Attractions were a bit far apart, but that made you walk. Animals were beautiful and zoo was clean with friendly staff.

Our family spent three hours at the zoo on a Sunday morning around feeding time. The polar bear exhibit includes a pickup truck. The cab is outside of the enclosure with the bed inside where the bear enjoyed bouncing on the truck bed. I assume waiting for breakfast. The gorillas did not disappoint. Our family will be talking about the... More

We went on the Thursday before the actual "season " started. Paid full price to get in. Most exhibits were closed. Saw squirrels and geese. The tiger was out in a tiny sad pen pacing around looking bored and sad. The elephants looked stressed and sad. It looked like one of the giraffe's had eaten something and was doing strange... More

My little guy loves the Louisville Zoo and learns something new with each visit. My husband and I enjoy the walk and getting our "steps" in and checking out the exhibits. It is best when the crowds are at a minimum but we truly enjoy it year round. The ropes course is fun and the train ride a must for... More

Our family went in early March, first thing in the morning. Quite a few enclosures were empty - not sure if that was due to the season or time of day. We did enjoy ourselves and still got to see quite a bit. Easy to walk around in just a few hours.

I visited this zoo when their gorilla exhibit first opened. They had a large amount of gorillas at that time - of both sexes & ages. I am not sure what their status is at this time, but there were only a handful here. They were mostly stationery & none were outside - it was a nice day too. There... More
