We decided to utilize our membership at the zoo and was happy we did this particular day. Weather was fair and our 7-year-old granddaughter was feeling very adventurous. She loved the zip and rope lines as well as the endless rides on the Merry Go...More

The Louisville Zoo is the perfect size to be able to make your way though all of the exhibits in a day. It isn't so big that you miss seeing parts of it and it isn't so small that you leave feeling disappointed. The hot...More

Beautiful day at the zoo, but had many no shows of significant animals; hippo, polar bear, rhino; along with many smaller attractions. Baby gorilla was adorable, sea lion show was excellent. Takes about 2-3 hours to see it all if you don't see all the...More

I've been taking my kindergarten classes to the Louisville Zoo for 23 years now. It's a great zoo. They continue to do renovations and continue to make it a fun place to learn for kids and families!

We had a day to kill in Louisville and thought that we might spend a couple of hours at the Zoo. Little did we know that we would spend the entire day there. It was much larger than I expected and I was highly impressed....More

Enjoyed this trip to the Zoo. The kids enjoyed the water play area. Thought that the wait for the train ride was a little long and there wasn't a whole lot to see except the back of buildings. Overall, we had a good trip.

Arrived early in the morning. Caught most the animals up and eating. Made it to presentations. The penguins were not available. Monkeys and gorillas were very active. Packed a lunch and snacks. Would surely go back.

We are members of the Cincinnati Zoo so we paid half price for our tickets. We like this zoo because it had more land and mature trees which provided lots of shaded areas. The Cincinnati Zoo has much prettier landscaping. We had lots of fun...More

Can you park a rig at the zoo? Had to deliver at the caverns and have time to visit before next pick up.

About how long is a good amount of time to plan to spend there? My friend and I have a couple of hours to kill after her interview at the hospital and we probably wouldn't have more than 2 hours. Is that enough? I know it is off season and cold out, so I imagine it would be easier to see everything without so many people.

If you only have 2 hours - I would suggest a different attraction - the zoo will cost 2 adults about $40-50 entry fee and parking - and it will take you 2 hours just to walk all the trails in the zoo without stopping to look... More
