Definitely worth a visit - not just for the celebrities buried there (Muhammad Ali and Colonel Sanders) but also for the beauty of the cemetery and the headstones and statues. We highly recommend taking the tours offered by the Cave Hill Foundation.

We loved walking around the beautifully manicured grounds. The further you go back the older the grave markers are, very interesting part of Louisvilles history.

Was walking the dog through the neighborhood and stumbled upon a graver marker that read Ali through the fence, then looked up cemetery and saw how it is a hallowed ground for many from Louisville including Ali and Colonel Sanders.

This well-tended cemetery was founded in 1848, and contains many notables, from Revolutionary War veterans, Civil War Generals, and Colonel Sanders of KFC fame. Muhammed Ali is also interred here. The grounds and lakes are a quiet and tranquil area.

Cave Hill has so many stories to tell through it's amazing structures. Be sure to see Colonel Sanders and the very odd statue of Mr. Bright and his wife. Well worth the trip.
