This was just up the street from our hotel downtown - Embassy Suites. It was nice to have something to do right outside our door. However, some of the bars are really expensive, some were a little slow on service. We hunkered down several times at Locos. The staff was nice, the drinks were more affordable and it was in middle of the strip - so good people walking. The piano bar looked fun, but at $10 a head, seemed to be a little overpriced for a piano bar experience. The sports bar was good to watch a game, but paid $22 for a shot! Tried a couple of restaurants on Thursday afternoon when we got there, just before happy hour, but it took 30 minutes before we even got water and we walked out and ended up at Locos for chips and salsa. Got really busy at night with DJ the Saturday we were there, that was fun and gave some great people watching opportunities. It wasn't our favorite place in Louisville, but worth a walk through and a drink.

Looks interesting from across the street, disappointing when you walk thru. Most restaurants are closed down. Had lunch at tgif fridays because nothing else open. Only ones in the restaurant. One employee and took forever, food not great. We walked back thru after a concert at the Yum Center and it still wasn’t busy. Didn’t feel safe even though it was well lit and security guards. Apparently it used to be the hot spot however Covid and recent riots have taken its toll. Would not recommend..

Wow, what happened here?? Been here a few times previously (last time was 2019 of course pre-covid) and it was always great, lots of things to do and see even during the daytime. The Hard Rock Cafe is gone, as well as the Jim Beam Stillhouse and a few others that I can't recall. Tried to find a good lunch spot here and there weren't many choices. Ended up doing a Mexican take out. Lots of space for lease too. Sad to see.

We had a absolute blast in 4th street from Brazeiros Brazilian Steakhouse that was amazing to PBR Louisville and yes I went on the Bull and lasted 2 mins 🤠then ended up drag racing down the strip on my wife’s power chair against a guy on a electric scooter
Only downside was the music 🎶 3 lots of different music blasting out and all you ended up with was a loud mush

More like a ghost town. Most everything closed. Pretty dead and unexciting. Disappointing. The only thing worth seeing was the tourist information business.

We went to the PBR Rodeo bar and the dialing pianos. The pianos were very fun. They took requests, got the crowd involved, and were reallocated talented performers.

Not great if you have kids and doesn’t feel safe at night. I would call it over rated and would t bother. There are better places to spend you money at.

Mostly chain style restaurants, lots of panhandlers, just did not find anything interesting. Stopped in Guy Fieri's Smokehouse, did not eat but the bartender did not know how to make a Manhattan and was on his phone the whole time.

My wife and I hung out here for a few hours during a recent visit. Lots of restaurants and clubs where you can get some food and drinks.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon 7-24-22 and was surprised to see only 2 establishments open. Guy FIeri's Smokehouse and The Sports & Social Club. We stopped first at the Sports & Social Club. We had 6 adults waiting for around 5 minutes bartender to look our direction (the bar was not busy- maybe 4 people at the bar). We finally left and brought our business to Guy Frieri's. We received wonderful, quick service there. OH my, the food and beers were fantastic!
We did see a female, blonde bartenders from Sports & Social Club later attending to a gentleman who must have enjoyed some mimosas earlier that day - he then shared them with the pavement. She was kind enough to bring him a shirt from the establishment.
The cornhole boards on the street are a nice addition for some simple entertainment.

No, everything shuts down on thanksgiving but on Friday the 29 th is light up Louisville. This is a big event. There will be a lot of people in the downtown area for the lighting of the tree. There will be a lot of activities on this evening after thanksgiving. If you are in the area for thanksgiving make sure you have your dinner reservations made in advance.

Pawleys Island, SC207 contributions
Derby week there are daily groups on the waterfront downtown at Fest d ville. Admission is procured with a Derby Festival pin which can be purchased at Kroger and some other stores for 7.00. They may be purchased on grounds for 8.00. Also, the Saturday before Derby, Churchill officially begins its meet with night racing and there is usually entertainment which continues for an hour after the racing is over that night. Go to the official Derby Festival events page and you can see all the things there are to do.

Obviously there are a lot of things open on Sunday but if you want to enjoy and have the best time on fourth Street it’s best to go on a Friday or Saturday preferably Saturday

Plan to visit the evening after Christmas (Tuesday), anything to do or check out for non drinkers?

For non drinkers if you're not entertained by drunk folks this perhaps isnt' the place to visit. Try the musical section of town instead.

Not really. Most the venues are indoors unless it's a service animal. It's rare to see anyone with a pet in downtown Louisville to be honest,
