Actors Theatre is a jewel in the professional theatre world and a feather in the cap for Louisville. Three different theatres of varying size are located in a historic building downtown on Main, and there is something for fans of all ages. Personally I look forward to the annual festival of new American plays, and try to schedule a trip... More

We saw 6 plays here during the festival. It was wonderful! They have 3 different theatres in the building. Airness was one of the best plays I've ever seen! We also LOVED Cry It Out. Loved the small theatre in the round. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a bar upstairs, and a restaurant/bar, Milkwood in the basement.

I watched the play "I Now Pronounce" and was laughing throughout the whole play. A good theatre to go to for a date night. Original plays written for current generations.

A friend took me to see Lady Day a story about Billie Holiday if you every have a chance to see this play where you live it's a must see ! This Theatre does have an old world charm however, the seating is my only issue ! The seats are small(I am somewhat short) my friend and the couple sitting... More

After several years of wanting to see the play, A Christmas Carol, my wife and I finally made it a priority to do so, this Christmas season. First of all, the play performance was better than I would've imagined. The costumes were very good, the set was somewhat impressive, given the stage limitations, and the acting & singing far surpassed... More

This is a great local theatre! We attended "A Christmas Carol," which is in it's 40th year here. The space is fantastic...there's not a bad seat in the house and you feel like you're right in the midst of it. They did an excellent job, and we'll be looking for more plays there in the future.

They have been doing "A Christmas Carol" for 40 years now. This is a lovely space for plays and we have attended many plays over the years. That being said, this was not one of our favorite interpretations of the classic. It wasn't bad but there have been more memorable experiences in the past. As much as we have loved... More

The plays put on here are top notch and there's just not a bad seat in the house. I have season tickets but if you want to pick and choose you have to see Dracula and Christmas Carol that are offered annually. You will not be disappointed.

We had the privilege to see Dracula at the Theatre this past weekend. I would highly suggest this play. You don't have to be a fan of Theatre to enjoy Dracula, very entertaining throughout the entire production.

Ended up in Louisville by accident, after dinner at the Spaghetti Factory we went for a walk through town and stumbled into the Actors presentation of Dracula. What a wonderful Halloween treat!! Tremendous acting, great characters, great scenery, and excellent experience. Can't wait to find time to go back!
