This is a beautiful Church to check out, high up in the beautiful village on Breedon on the Hill. You take a winding road up to the top and it's a real surprise to find a Church was build so high up above ground level....More

Fascinating church and churchyard, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. For those who like reading gravestones, there were a lot which appeared to be on slate, and very clear to read centuries later, which is not always the case.

Despite driving icy rain, we wanted to visit this church as my great great grandmother was baptised here. We were not disappointed. We will come back on a better day to enjoy the views. For food nearby, go to the Holly Bush Inn-amazing.

My daughter and I took a diversion from the Cloud Trail to visit. I'd recommend taking the western footpath route up there, it's a steep walk but gives fantastic views over the three counties of Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Walk back down on the paved...More

A wonderful hilltop location for this church which was once part of an Abbey. Some of the best Anglo Saxon carved panels you can see in England. Search out the Breedon Angel. Don't miss the monuments to the Shirley family who used this church before...More

Since we were in Breedon-on-the-Hill, we walked up to this ancient church. It is not particularly distinctive, but it is another nice feature of this quaint locale in the English countryside.
