Great place, great experience!

It was nice to visit Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery! I really enjoyed to feed the fish. And small museum in there was pretty good, too! I want to recommend this place!!

Took the family, and LOVED this. View the indoor building to see the eggs and itty bitty fish. Take a tour outside, and see thousands and thousands of fish. My tip is to buy SEVERAL of the large bags of food in the gift shop and let the kids feed the fish. It's so much fun, and it's free (except... More

After seeing the positive reviews for the Hatchery on TripAdvisor before our visit to Lake Cumberland, we decided we would visit and we were definitely pleased. This is a great place to go for all ages. Our son enjoyed the exhibits and feeding the fish outside was a memorable experience for him--and us! Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and... I took the kids to visit here - but after about 20 minutes they were bored, so we had to move on! But there is an inside exhibit as well.

This is a federal facility. They take eggs from trout and other species of fish and fertilize the eggs and raise the fish in large indoor and outdoor tanks till the fish are ready to release into lakes , streams and rivers in the southeast and Midwest US. They have an 8 minute film that explains the operation and need... More

We visited during fall break. Kids and the adults enjoyed it. The place is very good way for kids to learn and have fun at the same time.

Staff in the center were very friendly, interesting displays, live native fish aquariums, walk around the hatchery and trout races feeding the fish. You can buy a ziplock bag of fish feed in the center at the register. Cheap entertainment for kids and adults too. small bag was $1 and large bag $2.50. Worth a 20-30 minute stop to look... More

We wandered in here to kill time and it was a nice, small nature center type place. Small reptiles and insets. A video. The coolest was a series of fish tanks like a mini aquarium. Small gift shop. The ladies working were very friendly. And it was free. Definitely something I would come back to and bring it kids if... More

Well worth the time to stop and visit the trout hatchery, feed the fish, and enjoy the variety. Also be sure to enter the building and explore all the info inside. We got to see live skunks one time, snakes another, and something different each time. Good for adults and childeren.
