You can't visit Cape May without going to Sunset Beach where you see the most magnificant sunsets in the east coast! All the while picking up CM diamonds in the sand and visiting the little shops that don't gouch you with prices. Every evening they have a flag ceremony that will leave no dry eye around. Extremely respectful and emotional... More

The Flag lowering ceremony at sunset is very moving. The views are stunning on a clear evening. My son liked to find Cape May Diamonds. Not a beach for swimming.

Crowded in the evenings at sunset. Some low end gifts shops. Good photo opportunities.

nice beach to kick around on and watch the sunset. Great gift shops and friendly people. Also the soft serve ice cream place there is the best soft serve ever.

Great for the kiddies! The national anthem and a beautiful sun setting over a sunken ship.

This was the best place in NJ! We spend a lot more time here than we planned but hated to leave this nice area. Our son was in his glory finding horseshoe crabs, small sharks and then a dead sea turtle. Our daughter was picking up Cape May Diamonds (Quarts). Not to mention the historic cement ship, The Atlantus that... More

Hearing about the serenity others experienced made me think we were at a whole different ocean! The day we visited Sunset beach there were red flags. No swimming for sure, and i didn't even dare wade. But it was fascinating to see the power and beauty of the ocean in that condition. We were still able to seek and find... More

Watch the Sunset with the US Flag being lowered to God Bless America, loacted next to the Cape May Light House and Cape May Beaches; very romantic and also a place for family with a sunken cement ship that is slowly going away.
