An unexpected extra few free hours in our itinerary allowed us to visit Kentucky's capital city Frankfort, and this was our first stop, located in the "new" part of town. It must be one of America's most beautifully located capitol buildings with stunning floral displays...More

Our guide was very knowledgeable about KY history and shared it with us in a pleasant way. We were able to see and touch the decor and statuary.

The elegance of this building is stunning! Then you walk inside and through the marble hallways and coorridirs and it’s breathtaking. If you have a moment stop in! A must see!

This is thus far the prettiest State Capitol i have visited. The city of Frankfort is just so charming & the people are so very friendly & helpful. If you like this kinda of setting, you will love this area.

The Capitol building is closed on Sunday but you could see the outside of the building. However, do consider coming Mon-Fri 9-4 for an inside tour or Sat 10-2 for a view inside.
